Granit Musliu is rapidly emerging as one of the most compelling young voices on the European operatic stage. A graduate of the University of Pristina and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, Musliu honed his craft as a member of the esteemed Opera Studio at the Bayerische Staatsoper, where he is now a full ensemble member.
In the 2025/26 season, Musliu makes several high-profile debuts: he appeared as Fenton in Falstaff at Staatsoper Hamburg and took on the role of Alfredo Germont in La Traviata at the Bayerische Staatsoper. Winter brings his anticipated debut as the Duka di Mantova in Verdi’s Rigoletto at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, a role he will reprise later this season at Opéra de Lausanne.
Musliu made his house debut at the Semperoper Dresden as Cassio in Otello. He appeared as Don Ottavio at the Soirées Lyriques de Sanxay and will return in the summer of 2026 to make his debut as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte.
His growing repertoire at the Bayerische Staatsoper also includes Alfred (Die Fledermaus), Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), Edmondo (Manon Lescaut), Beppe (Pagliacci), Arturo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Harry (La Fanciulla del West), Rustighello (Lucrezia Borgia), Flavio (Norma), Festordner in Pique Dame and featured roles in War and Peace, Ariadne auf Naxos.
He also made his debut at the Isarphilharmonie in Munich in concert with the Münchner Symphoniker.
He has worked with distinguished conductors including Vladimir Jurowski, Marco Armiliato, Daniele Rustioni, Andrea Battistoni, Henrik Nánási and Antonino Fogliani, among others.
